IPSEpro is a process simulation platform for modeling and analyzing a wide range of systems involving thermal energy conversion. Through a graphical interface, users can quickly create process configurations and generate the corresponding system of equations, including mass and energy balances, chemical species balances, efficiencies, losses, and other performance parameters.
Examples of systems involving thermal energy conversion include thermoelectric power plants, cogeneration plants, desalination systems, waste heat recovery systems, gasification and pyrolysis plants, refrigeration systems, and concentrated solar power plants, among others.
These system models can be integrated with specific models of chemical or thermochemical processes, optimized, and used for online monitoring through dedicated IPSEpro modules.
